After leaving my job as a Research Assistant in Biotechnology at the University of
California, Santa Barbara, I followed my dream to travel around the world. I’ve
explored 36 countries so far and shared my experiences on my Instagram, which
has grown to over 200,000 people who follow me and ask about travel tips.

Oct 2015 – Oct 2016 | Research Assistant at Molecular, Cellular, & Developmental Biology. University of California, Santa Barbara Aim of research was to make antibiotic resistant gram negative bacteria permeable to current antibiotics in the market. I worked on mechanisms involved in contact-dependent growth inhibition. |
May 2013 – Sep 2013 | MSc projects, Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, UK Using phonotypic and ribotyping methods for screening of bacteria from a terrestrial lake for antimicrobial production. Found three strains showing antibacterial activities against their neighboring pathogenic bacteria. |
Sep 2012 – Apr 2013 | MSc Biotechnology, Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, UK Won Cambridge Bioscience Prize for being the top student in Biotechnology and Food Science programs. |
